French Rugby

I am fond of rugby mainly in France so I’m going to write about this sport.
Fourteen teams play in the championship so it’s called Top 14 it is among the most competitive and prestigious one in the world. The majority of the clubs are in the south of France, where rugby culture is prominent.The best known clubs are in Toulouse, Perpignan, Clermont-Ferrand, Paris, and Biarritz.

Moreover the Stade Toulousain is the most rewarded team for the European Cup of Rugby (Heineken Cup), with its three titles. Other clubs participating in this competition play in the championship of England (Guinness Premiership), the Celtic League (Magners League is composed of the Scottish, Irish and Welsh teams) and the Italian championship (Super 10).

The first six clubs of Top 14 are selected for the cup. The French Championship welcomes numerous stars or pensioners from the national team of rugby of the southern hemisphere, Springboks, Wallabies, The Pumas, and All Blacks. The teams, which are classified in the Top 4 of the Championship, are qualified for the semi-finals, the first one against the fourth and the second against the third, the winners of the semi-finals meet in finales. The winner is crowned Champion of France and gets the famous shield of Brennus as a Trophy
